Dave Blaine is an up and coming local photographer.   He holds both the Photography Certificate from SAIT and a bachelor’s degree in Archaeology from the University of Calgary.  His interests in all things historical, combined with a commitment to preserving the past for future appreciation, have led to a unique diversity in his photography.

From the smallest bug, to the most fragile petroglyphs, Dave approaches all of his photography with the care and precision of a preservationist and an artist.  Through extensive travels, Dave has had the opportunity to create a diverse portfolio.  His passion for the past shines through as he has taken the time to learn the story behind each of the images he has created.

Dave’s love of photography began in his teen years when he journeyed to Mexico with his father to view the solar eclipse.  This trip resulted in his very first photograph and a new way of viewing the world.  Since that time, Dave has been developing his skills and preserving moments that would otherwise have been lost. 

Voyager Photography is dedicated to remembering that which has been forgotten, to seeing what eyes have not beheld in centuries and to sharing the subtleties of our world.
